Now they were wearing some simple clothes that the aliens gave them. But why? I think clothes has no function in the new world, it seems warm there, and children aren't ashamed for eachother.
And the connection with Adam and Eve would be much better.

It could have been done tastefully, and it would have been an excellent Adam and Eve allegory.
shareIt was already and Adam and Eve allegory. Them being nude would not have made a difference.
shareActually, it would have shown the full circle back to a place of true innocence. Them wearing clothing acknowledges original sin and them still suffering for it, if we are sticking to the Adam and Eve theme. So no, clothing doesn't actually work in this instance.
