I like that quote from Cage.
On the one hand its mad to think WB pulled the plug on Burtons version of Superman (esp looking back), but on the other they just got burned on B&R and will have feared the same happening again. Plus they went happy with Batman Returns which ironically led to B&R coming about.. It all goes back to Burton really
They could probably still make the movie with Burton and Cage just as an older Superman (plus Sandra Bullock as Lois, Bryan Cranston or Depp as Lex, Chris Walken as Brainiac, Keaton as Batman),.. just keep budget down to like 150m and release it as a 'DC Elseworlds' movie like The Batman and Joker
