What if she/he put her/his name forward to be the next Doctor?

That would certainly tick a few more boxes and confuse the hell out of anybody still watching this show!

Why? I mean I will admit I don't want them to pick each next doctor on specific stuff, it should always go to the best person but if the actor/actress is great then I don't see the issue.

I'm not the biggest Jodie fan but it annoys me how people bring her sex into it. Like people have said she's maybe not the best person for the part but that doesn't mean its because she's female.

Nah, it will be a black actress next and female Doctors for the foreseeable future, shame, Richard Ayoade (IT Crowd), Matt Berry (IT Crowd) and Noel Fielding (IT Crowd) would all have made excellent Doctors in my opinion.

I'm split with Ayoade. He'd certainly be able to pull the quirky yet socially awkward alien side great. However can't remember seeing him in anything serious so don't know if he'd be able to pull off the more dramatic stuff. Would certainly be interesting

I know he did submarine which I enjoyed and the doppelganger film but I've yet to see it. Acting could be different but I'd certainly be interested
