So, what's the general consensus on this?
The reviews seem to be mixed. I've seen some good reviews and some bad reviews.

shareI'd describe it as "fun crap" - don't go out of your way, but it's enjoyable, predictible, zombie fun.

In comparison with other game to films, it does more justice to the game in that it has the AMS, a research facility overrun with undead, and Doc Curien. However, this is not anywhere as good as DOOM, MORTAL KOMBAT, or SILENT HILL (haven't played the game, loved the film though). The first was complete dreck, I thought people were joking when they said worse film ever. Jesus, I still cringe at the thought of that crap being called film. More like toilot paper. HOTD 2 is not what I would call a good movie by any stretch of the imagination, but I liked that it didn't take itself too seriously. A number of moments kind of brought up fond memories of when I first saw EVIL DEAD. It is enjoyable, but I still wanted something more. Maybe have some creatures like the maggots or even something like the Magician; the games were more about the creatures.

I just watched this on the SciFi channel and it could be one of the worst films I've seen. It has more flaws then skin with stretch marks. From the plot to the "Special Forces" (that were starting to be killed before they even got to the university) to the fact that the "zombies" decided to stay on campus for 29days??? The only good thing was the makeup. So glad I did not rent this.
shareFor a SciFi movie this is not bad at all. In my opinon, SciFi has made exactly 3 movies worth watching and this is one of them (the other 2 are Painkiller Jane and Dungeons and Dragons 2). Certainly not great, but the acting is not NEARLY as cheesy as the first and it is enterainting enough.
shareIt wasn't bad like the firt one was bad. That was off the scale bad. This one was bad within in the scale but was still bad. Bad editing, actors not taking their marks and how the actors seemed to change how much blood was on them in each shot. And especially the unimaginative camera angles, particularly in the van. It was just the same 2 shots of the characters back and forth.

I personally enjoyed this one, especially when compared to some of the really awful zombie films I've seen recently, like: Return of the Living Dead 4 & 5, the original House of the Dead, or the godawful "sequel" to Day of the Dead.
Compared to those films, this one was pretty well done.
Deeeeeeep hurting!!!!!!!
