Penny's mom, Prudy. Is she....

I might be reading too much into this but I love sublimimal jokes and I want to see if I'm right on this one

Is Penny's mom, Prudy, a prostitute? some of the quotes are hinting in that direction (the quotes mignt not be EXACTLY right but they have the general jist of it):

Edna: It takes a lot of effort to get out your personal stains...

Seaweed: (untying knots) was your mom in the navy? *I think that's a s&m joke, if you don't know what that is, sorry for destroying your innocent minds*

Penny: (about a room) I don't even know why this room is here *I know it's a bomb shelter but it could be a sex chamber as well*

Prudy's also really catholic so she could be overcompensating...it's psychalogical stuff

I think this is a really interesting idea. The quote where Tracy's mom talks about the stains needing a pounding with a rock and she embarrassingly claims to not know what "stains" she is talking about. I think at most she is just sexually repressed, I have no idea why it was put in the script and the whole shelter rooms are probably a result of the characters paranoia (most religious caricatures and real life extremists believe the apocalypse is coming so she was probably preparing for that.) Still it was weird that they decided to put it in but also kind of comical. At most I would suggest she ran a brothel or had a past of it and is now very repressed and unloading that onto her daughter who seeks sexual identification. But then again I guess because the whole film is a light hearted window on a very controversial age and of course a family friendly experience, only allusions are put in about such topics.
