a good choice as the love interest in any movie. As a guy, as shallow as this may sound, she just isn't intriguing enough physically. Her character doesn't have to be cast as the a-typical "hot" girl, but there are plenty of cute actresses out there who would suit this type of role much better. Just as her role was in Nick and Nora's Infinite play list. I'm sure many people would disagree but nevertheless, they could have found someone better.

i agree, she is so hook-nosed and old looking in this. she looked ridiculous next to Yelchin's Charlie, especially as the "token pretty girl". She was better as Nora with Cera though.
shareShows how subjective looks can be. Kat is interesting looking but pretty to me, although she probably looks better these days than she did in the film. Carey Mulligan is someone I have never understood the appeal about, she was cute in Doctor Who but apart from that looks rather plain. I'd choose Kat over her anyday.
