This was by Far the worst movie of 08....Keanu and Forest together were awful. This movie was a complete rip off of the shield and in some ways training day. Total predicable ending and I love the "bad guys" tell Keanu their whole plan before killing him! Did they forget he was shot in the leg before his fight with Forest....The best part of this movie was Mohr Mustache.

While I did think of The Shield and Training Day, I guess any movie with crooked cops will do the same. Why wouldn't they tell him their plans? it just some typical writing, nothing new here, or will you complain too that the hero got away and avenged his dead comrades?. Plus I didn't see them atually shooting his leg, they were just having fun with him and were shooting around him.
My advise to you would be to watch more movies.

The acting in this movie wasn't bad. SK just didn't use close-ups to convey emotion like some films. They relied on character stress and action to convey what the characters were feeling at the time. It's a gritty crime drama, after all.
I suppose the way Keanu fired a gun just wasn't convincing enough? You weren't buying it? Must have been a banana in his hand, I guess.
If you don't think the scenes with Whittaker and Laurie were at the very least "good", or the scenes with Whittaker and Keanu weren't "great", that's fine. You're entitled to your opinions, even wrong ones.
You know Keanu is going to be a little wooden before you even committed to seeing this movie, it's part of his charisma. And all the supporting characters did a fantastic job. If your pissed that SK let you down, you may want to re-examine your motives for seeing this movie. Were you looking for a romance or something?

Clearly you are entitled to your opinion but to call this move the "Worst Movie of 2008" let alone even place it in a category of "worst" movies is ridiculous. The reason the move seems like a "rip off" is because, as others have said, is that David Ayer wrote Training Day and he has a very distinct style.In addition, just so you know, The Shield wasn't by any means original but was inspired by The Rampart police scandal.
As far as the move it's self is concerned I will admit that the acting is a bit campy but that actually makes the movie more entertaining in some respects. Perhaps you are one of those people who just doesn't like films of the genre and that's why you didn't enjoy it.
Oh how I long for the day when threads like "OMFG Worst Movie Eeevaaa" just have the one original post and nothing else... that would be quite a sight.
shareMan, I've seen some idiots slating average films before but you have obviously no idea what the components of a good film are, I would go through this point by point to express what makes it a good film but I would be wasting my time on a lost cause. My advice however is to stop posting your inane crap on IMDB, all you will achieve is abuse from people like me.
There were worse movies in 2008 I'm sure. This wasn't HORRIBLE, it just wasn't good, but not the worst. I didn't hate it or anything but I won't be watching it again. I can take a movie being really twisted and dark and evil if it's actually good (like Training Day), but this was just bleh.
