Chrissie should have just left...would you?

The scene after leatherface kills her BF, Chrissie manages to run up the stairs and make it to the wide open front door. She's JUST about to get out, but then decides to go back for her other friends.

If it was me, I would have ran off, gotten help and hoped that crazy family would have just spent time looking for me instead of killing my friends.

I would want someone to end my misery

Fark yes. Her friend is as good as dead especially after seeing what happened to her boyfriend. Chrissie is one dumb broad.

Either way I would be *beep* After witnessing my lover getting mutilated and skinned; I'm going to be mentally *beep* for awhile; yet I can stay and try to help my friends and redeem myself, but I'd mostly likely get my ass owned by leatherface. Realistically speaking; I'd only stay for family. I can always make new friends and plus I doubt my friends would comeback for me. =X

I think she should've left. I get why she wanted to help Bailey, and that would definitely be a tough decision to make, but there wasn't much of a chance that they would've escaped. There were four people right upstairs with a gun and a chainsaw, while she was alone and without any kind of weapon. Not only would she have to go up there without anyone seeing her, but then both she and Bailey would've had to leave the house without being seen. It was just very unlikely that they both would've escaped. What Chrissie should've done was have the biker guy drive her somewhere to get help instead of going into the house in the first place. That's probably the only way that they might've gotten help on time. Even if she left the house, it would probably taken her a while to run somewhere to get help.

Well, Bailey was about to take off in the truck earlier in the film. She would've "went to get help" I assume. Sometimes you gotta do what's best for you! RUN!

It's a sad thing that your adventures have ended here

Yeah but Leatherface caught Bailey in the shoulder with that meat hook. I felt really sorry for Bailey and especially for Chrissie when she's deciding what to do at the doorway. There was absolutely NO ONE downstairs at all, she could've made it out and eventually survived the night. But after seeing what Leatherface did to Eric right over her and hearing Bailey scream out in pain, who wouldn't want to help her. It would've taken a looong time for her to get to another town, maybe she could've used the biker's motorcycle. It was still there and wasn't broken or anything, she probably panicked and forgot about later on when Leatherface is chasing after her. As much as anyone who would say, I'd go back in there and kill em all, you know that wouldn't be the case. Leatherface had a LOAD of strength, he broke the biker's wrist squeezing it. Chrissie had no weapons but she could've outsmarted them if she had went with the biker and got some help. Only thing was that the biker obviously didn't care about her friends, just his girlfriend.
