Chrissie should have just left...would you?

The scene after leatherface kills her BF, Chrissie manages to run up the stairs and make it to the wide open front door. She's JUST about to get out, but then decides to go back for her other friends.

If it was me, I would have ran off, gotten help and hoped that crazy family would have just spent time looking for me instead of killing my friends.

I would've run off and got help.

Chrissie also could've had a chance to kill Luda Mae but...

I probably would've ran away as well but still it's an incredibly tough decision and you can see that in her hesitation.

She probably knew that by the time she got to the next town, her friends would be dead. She didn't want to take that risk, she didn't want it hanging on her conscience. She wanted to leave, but she couldn't ignore those screams.

The interesting thing about her character- had she left, she could have prevented every other murder that occured after that. She could have left at any time, from the moment she got knocked out of the car.

She should've, but then there would be no movie if she did xD lol.

Sure there could've. She gets to a town, cops come back, big shoot out.

that's a really good point!! didnt even think about that. just goes to show a decision that seems heroic at the time, has major consequences that are far worse.

the message is leave while u still can. your friends are gonna get killed anyway and you 2 if u stay

Tough decision, but I probably would've left. The only person I'd go back for after hearing them scream like Bailey would be a family member. Otherwise I would just go and get help. I loved that scene btw.

exactly! that scene actually reminded me of the one in that movie the title of which has completely left me. but was set in the outbacks of australia. 2 girls and 1 guy on a road trip.

Without a doubt I would have left.Went go get help.Stop them from killing anymore people.Simple. But if I had chose to stayed then there's a good chance that I would be killed. Which means plenty more victims. If she would have left she could've stopped everything.

If it's me, there is no way in hell that I'm leaving Diora Baird there with those freaks. I'm gonna go save her. I'd probably die in the process, but hey, I can't let her die without a fight. I could probably save her if Leatherface was out of the picture. I would outsmart Hoyt, although I might be able to pull it off even with Leatherface there. I have a plan!!! They never seem to work though...lol. Not removing this sig till I've met these 3 celebs1. Diora Baird 2. Gemma Ward 3. Cillian Murphy

OK -- I'll be honest. I think...I woulda just left and tried to find a phone or something to get help. Cuz, I know...I'm not so strong and I'm not so cunning...my "rescue" prolly woulda just f'ed everyone up including myself.

Tough decision, though...what if it was my boyfriend (who I love dearly!) or something? I dunno if I could really leave him behind...but then, I'm not helping any by staying either. :: sigh :: so tough...

i agree OP. when she was at the door, i just kept thinking RUN RUN!!!! please just run. and you can get some help. if she hadnt heard her friend scream, she would have run off. you could see the agony in deciding on her face, she badly wanted to just run away but her conscious wouldnt let her. i felt her pain.

if it were me, i would have ran off and tried to get help in another town, but i know that would have been too late, but still would have hoped that the friend could be saved later on.

but i really admire her for going back in and trying to help her friend that takes alot of courage and that is being heroic.
