Jennifer Aniston completely misplaced

I get the feeling Jennifer Aniston was only hired because she's a household name.
She was cute in Friends, but she has mediocre abilities, no charm and her looks are average (especially compared to Melissa George). It just isn't believable that she is so seductive that a faithful husband would cheat on his wife with her, nonetheless sacrifice so much.
To me, she is just completely "meh". Not to mention her name among the cast instantly labels the film as second rate.

Anyone else feel the same?

Exactly! Nobody, including myself would suspect her as...

a baddie, making the plot twist at the end that much more surprising...I mean I thought, "Jennifer Aniston did this?? With say Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Lopez I would have been less surprised.

It seems totally shallow to me that someone would watch a movie and expect actors to look a certain way they imagine people are supposed to look. Physically, only a certain type of women can be seductive? Wtf?! I think it's one of the ways how the movie industry is contributing to perpetuating stereotypes, and I'm always glad to see someone being "miscast" the way you feel Jennifer Aniston was here. It's supposed to be about how believable an actor is, not about how attractive they look (which is a subjective opinion btw). Makes me think about how often have I heard someone commenting on a male actor "huh he's too ugly to be playing a dude getting laid" (Nicholas Cage, Steve Buscemi, Colin Firth, Humphrey Bogart etc.) - hardly ever. It's really not supposed to be all about looks and I actually think it's an infuriating act of discrimination to demand of female actors to look a certain way or be of certain age in order to be believable and good for the part.

People complain that every one of her movies is the same. She tries something different in this movie and people complain about that too. Guess she can't win.
