I'm surprised this movie didn't expand into more sequels, not that it needed one, but the material can basically write itself. If they could keep showing guys getting Hang Overs over and over again I don't see why they couldn't write about more horny guys crashing weddings to score with bridesmaids.

shareBetter late than never, but I think at this point why not just reduce it cameo appearance and do a crossover with the Hangover guys. They're all pathetic and single again, sitting at the "loser table" LOL
shareIt'd be better if the sequel spent the entire movie focused on Wedding Crashing, and not turn it into a chick flick. Maybe introduce two new crashers who show up at Owen's wedding, and then it follows them the rest of the movie, and things get hot for them and it's more like an adventure flick, narrowing escaping death while on the run. Then they die at the end, and Will Ferrell crashes their funeral.
shareI think that Hollywood studios are avoiding touching this genre and instead will focus on teen girl melodramas. Out of curiosity I looked up "teen comedy/drama" on HBO-MAX and Prime and the top trending movies were all focused on female leads, Gay, and transgender. These rankings are both suggested viewing and "trending" so it seems that the younger generations have abandon male sexual comedy stories for good because movies like Old School, Wedding Crashers, Fast Times, Better Off Dead, Animal House, and Van Wilder didn't even show up.
shareI think it keeps getting pushed back and back because they can't come up with a good story. Both main characters fell in love, got married and moved on from their crashing days. Where is this story going to go in a sequel? One of the characters gets divorced and starts crashing again? The only draw they have is that the first one was fantastic. A sequel shouldn't involve the two male or two female leads. I guess you could make a sequel with Will Ferrell's character crashing funerals, but nobody is going to watch that. We also don't need to see the same film with new characters doing the same thing like the Hangover films. This was a great comedy and they just need to leave it.
