Probably one of the worst 3rd acts of a movie ever

I'll start with saying I'm not a real fan of this movie. But that's besides the point. I get that people are big fans of this movie and they are for basically one reason. The first 30 minutes of the movie. I get it. Its a lot of fun. The "Shout" montage is great. What red blooded male wouldn't want to do that? Its pure fantasy. Its so good, that it makes people forget about the next hour and a half of this film, which is sub par at best. And the final 45 minutes of the film is unwatchable. I can't stand it. It takes out all the fun and makes it a awful experience. It needed another Will Ferrell character to get through it. Its like they thought in order to make the audience tell that Owen Wilson was miserable, they had to make the audience miserable too. Which is fine in like, a drama. But this is a comedy, and I'd like to laugh and not feel terrible. And its not like really anything happens either. Its all focused on Wilson moping around while interesting stuff happens elsewhere. It just basically stumbles to Vaughn's wedding, where the opportunity is given for Wilson to win back the girl with a cliche get back the girl at the wedding speech.

Just a turrible, turrible third act.

agreed, they had a great story to work with and they turned it into a cliché love story with a lot of cheesy moments, and, boom, worst ending possible.

but I loved chazz

Wedding Crashers is horribly overrated. The trailer really made it seem like it was going to be all about the crashing with various weddings... but it turned into a sappy stupid love story with the movie almost in it's entirety focused on the Cleary family.

agree, in fact i would go one step further and say that the entire last half of the movie was sub par
