When watching this scene, i was thinking that yep maggie was uncomfortable and the guys advances were unwanted. But do you think he actually intended to rape or sexually harrass her? It kind of looked like he was just a bit of a dumbass that didnt get the hint and then freaked out that she thought he was a psycho and initially ran after her to try to set it straight and then things got crazy...

Obviously in real life always trust your instincts and all that, but I thought for narrative purposes they could have made it a little more obvious he intended to assault her before she freaked out.
But most sexual assaults or rapes are much more subtle than some stranger pouncing violently on a woman. This also makes it harder foe a woman to gauge how to react or how much danger she is in. Woman are conditioned to please, not make a fuss etc - many rapists depend on this and this kind of grey area where people/woman are taken by surprise and not sure how to react.

a)how very helpful of them in the beginning..go out of their way- what could be expected in return?
b)shes broke, she had no money for them
c)shes used to getting what she wants by manipulation without giving anything tangible in return (sex, other "favors")
d)the guy was kissing her on the neck and stuff, if he really just wanted to help he wouldnt be fresh like that
