Anyone else not like Simon?

I have nothing against him per se; he seemed like a nice guy and I'm glad Rose ended up with him, but I didn't like the cookie-cutter/perfect romance between them. Seemed so shallow and engineered...the storyline between the grandmother and Maggie was more interesting than the Simon/Rose storyline IMO.

The character was really well-written. He knew when to take charge (the lights=you are beautiful) and when to let her control the flow ("If you want a meal or a Sixers game, call me.") He knew enough to leave and when to return.

For the actor, I watch him all the time in "Royal Pains" and I never thought Hank had much chemistry with any of his love interests. Simon's feelings for Rose were believable to me.

I liked him, I think he's pretty hot too, and I think that he was perfect for Rose, he adores her and yet he's not a doormat.

I liked him at the beginning of the film, but he became annoying towards the end.
