Why the hell did Ben Wade let himself get caught?

WHY???? There are so many flaws in this movie which have already been mentioned, but why does he just stay in this bar for ages, waiting to get caught by the sheriffs?

Mostly because through the journey he and Dan became friends and if he didn't get on the train Dan's family wouldn't get the payment from Evans also we all know he is gonna get out that's what his horse following the train meant it was a hint that he was gonna escape Yuma again.He also wanted to make Dan a hero in the eyes of his son and don't let him die for nothing.I think Dan's speech about Dr. Potter dying for nothing then Wade responding ''They were just red ants in the desert'' was a little foreshadowing he didn't want his friend to die for nothing.

i think its has to do with him liking dan as father he never had if you listened to the story he told about his mother you would found out that he was abounded by his mother , dan on the other hand would do anything for his family for his son to make him proud of him ,that whats he likes about dan and thats why he got up on the train to give dan the pride that he deserve

Exactly...Dan was the only man who proved to Ben he was motivated by principal, and not primarily money, like every other chracter in the movie. They grew to respect each other. You can see how Ben takes note of the exchange between father and son in the motel room, and how Dan proves to be the kind of parent that Ben was looking for all his life. And Dan makes a point to share with Ben in the train station that he's not "stubborn" about keeping his ranch, its because his son had tb and they had to be in a dry climate...Ben's opinion of him became importat that point. ben wanted Dan to succeed because he respected him. This is what I love about this movie, the character studies are fascinating.
