So was Amanda Heard gang raped by blacks at the bar?
And if so, isn't it unrealistic to believe that she would be "in the mood" to be intimate with Johnny Depp so soon after such an experience?

Pretty morbid question. And no I doubt it.

no, probably not. It's pretty reasonable to think that the guys standing at the door, keeping Chenault's companions from taking her away, were only looking out for her best interests. "This girl deserves better than these dumb crackers," they thought. "Let's keep her here with us and make sure she gets home safe."
Also, you could see a parcheesi set on one of the tables in the bar, so that's most likely what they ended up doing with the drunk sexy white girl.....playing board games.
YES, she was raped in the book. you people need to have everything spelled out for ya......
LMAO
shareCame here to write about this.... Such a hollywood film. In the book she is carried off by a group of guys who are basically going to rape her. I'm pretty sure (not certain) she is never seen again. BUT in the film she comes back (gotta have that love interest in hollywood!) and then they re-unite in New York and get married. LOL what a load of horse *beep*
shareI m sure she was , when the guy unzipped part of her dress you could see she did nt like it and the way she looked at johnny depp looked like she wanted help and had some hint of scare factor in her eyes .
I don t think anyone cared if she went out with a bunch of guys and their is no way she could resist any of them .
You don t do those kind of scene , showing what they showed if everything was going to be pretty .
I can't speak for the book, but I would assume that if she were (gang) raped in the film she seemed to take it in stride. When she first reappears she seems upset over the breakup with Harvey Dent, but in the very next scene she's smiling and hanging out with Depp like she just got back from shopping and then she sleeps with Deep, and there's no physical wounds or marks on her that would accompany a gang rape.
So no, I'm thinking a gang rape didn't happen. Either that or the film did a poor job at convincing me one did. But this isn't the first time I've seen a someone jump to this kind of conclusion ("Manderlay" comes to mind).
Don't try to cash in love, that check will always bounce.share

OMG you are all soooo weird. Without the book there would be no film. In the book it is a really brutal upsetting scene. She is carried off drunk to be gang raped and nobody can stop it. FACT. Stop with your it didn't look like it in the film. So what if it didn't look like it. They chose to brush over it because the film is inaccurate and pretty poor.
sharefrom one of hundreds of film reviews
"One of the scenes from the book that stood out most vividly in my mind was Chenault getting gang raped. I don’t have the book because I lent it out far too many times and God knows where it is now, but the scene is missing from the movie. I didn’t expect it to be graphically depicted or anything, but the way the movie deals with it is just be confusing. It’s hard to even know what they’re trying to imply."

rum diaries book rape
A gang rape seemed inevitable when she was surrounded by young, sweaty men who likely viewed whites with some contempt. However, in the remainder of the film, there is no indication that this happened. So I have to say, "no."

And no, she wasn't. Watch again closely.
