they settled in Michigan where Kip became the most notorious crack dealer in town

Kip changed his name and became infamous as Drexl Spivey, the character of the Detroit pimp who was portrayed by Gary Oldman in "True Romance". He was killed by a comic-shop clerk who came to liberate one of Kip/Drexl's girls.
