Why is everyone so scared of calling this trilogy garbage??
Just look at the scared little girl tone here: http://www.cbr.com/old-batman-movies-better-than-dark-knight-trilogy/

sharebecause it isn't. it's one of the best DC related live action releases to date. for me only smallville comes close and the original superman movies come close and those came out in a very different time. watchmen does not really count though, since it basically pokes fun at DC and marvel simultaniously.
out of curiousity, so i know what i am dealing with here, what DC related live action releases (movie and tv) did you enjoy?
to be honest though, the childish tone of your OP has me a bit worried.
The Burton and Schumacher ones are the only good ones.
shareoh, so the original post was meant to be satirical. sorry, my bad for not noticing.
shareBatman Forever is the best of that bunch, and even then the 1966 Batman Movie is a superior adaptation. Nolan's movies get the character right.
shareHow? what did they get that the others didn't?
shareI will refer to you to the overwhelming consensus of acclaim, accolades and legitimate literary comparison to support my previous assertion that Nolan's movies stand as better ones than all the Burton/Schumacher collaborations. That is, if you can tell me why any of those previous movies are worth a damn.
Also, how many times have you seen The Room? It's a really good movie if you're into anything Tim Burton or Joel Schumacher does.
which movies? I don't know that one.
shareJust so you are not confused, The Room is a monumental film by Tommy Wiseau. If you are confused, watching The Room enough times makes boys into men and girls into women. Enjoy.
shareIt is hands down the greatest trilogy ever made.
Lord of the rings is better.

Feast your eyes people.
Number 7 is Lord of the Rings the Return of King
Number 11 Lord of the Rings the Fellowship of the Ring
Number 15 Lord of the Rings the Two Towers
No trilogy has ever had all three entries be in the top 20 of imdb. Not even Godfather. LOTR for the win folks.
Lord of the Rings was good for what it was but it doesn't even belong in the same sentence as The Dark Knight. Plus I never really considered it a trilogy because it was just one long continuous plot just broken up into 3 segments, the 3 pieces didn't have their own individual plots and JR Tolkein thought the same. He just considered Lord of the Rings to be a collection of volumes that were released as three separate pieces but never considered it a trilogy. I agree with him.
shareAccording to the dictionary definition it is a trilogy. Also you might want to direct your eyes to the top 250 of imdb. Unless my eyes deceive me number 7, 11, and 15 all have separate LOTR entries on them. Therefore since the definition supports me i will measure them individually. The definition in the dictionary says it's a trilogy and I agree with it.
shareThe trilogy has been the subject of so much parody over the years, it's not surprising its impact has softened. If you can look past all the nitpicking, parody videos and such, the films hold their own. Batman Begins is my favourite of the trilogy, it's the perfect origin story, it looks fantastic, sounds fantastic, it hits all the right notes. I don't feel the same way about The Avengers, Pacific Rim and the Jurassic Park sequels of today. I miss the old Hollywood blockbusters.
shareThe trilogy is garbage!
Now, that wasn’t scary at all. Caveat - I never saw any of these Batmen films
