I think Melissa might have been the best one too. She was the only one who seemed to care about him and to really love him. Maybe Frankie, but she was just in two episodes, so it's hard to say. And the girl he almost married in Season 11.
The absolute worst(even worse than Judith) for me is Lyndsey! She constantly cheated on him, left him for ridiculous reasons and seems to forget that she herself isn't exactly such a catch(or is it just me who thinks that way?). For instance, she's all mad when Alan is being honest with her after she had kept "Cinnamon's buns" a secret all those years. Alan is "dumb" enough to be honest to show her he wants a mature relationship and she leaves him.
Kandi comes over to apologize for Alan(after she ASSUMED he slept with her and he didn't) and she sleeps with her, thereby cheating. She constantly dumps him, thereby hurting him, but when he actually has a chance to move on, she can't see him happy and has to destroy it, only to dump him again once she has him. Even in the finale, you can see she doesn't really care for him. Pity that they made her Alan's great love...in that case, I'd rather see him get back with Judith. At least she once cared for Alan and has her moments. And she didn't cheat on him.

Kandi never cared for Alan at all. She was only with him because he paid her bills and bought her stuff.
