Been rewatching my favorite series from s1 to s6

Goddamn I miss it. There is nothing like it on tv. By far the funniest show I have ever seen. Chelsea ruined S7, Charlie ruined s8, and Ashton ruined s9-12. But s1 to s6, there is not a single episode that I don't like. Wish Charlie and Angus had held it together and kept it going for years. This had potential to become the longest and best sitcom ever. The storylines were not Breaking Bad quality, but it was not meant for it. It was meant for laughs. Ah, but all good things must come to an end. :(

I agree, great tv 1-6. I still need to buy 5 and 6. 6 is very good.

Anyone know how they were going to end season 8 before the meltdown?

Alan kimda grew on me, the character got really funny. Jon can really act also.

Alan is creepy, disgusting, irritating and repulsive to the max.

Alan never 'grew on me', but what happened, was that my Alan-tolerance became stronger the more I got explosed to him, so now I am almost feel and think he's 'neutral' or only 'slightly irritating and cringy' for most of the time.

In my opinion, the show is pretty good all the way until Charlie starts to show 'drug usage' visibly and disturbingly. I don't even plan to ever watch the Kutcher episodes (or whatever his name was), after I saw a couple of them and couldn't even recognize this as the same show.

I knew the show went downhill after Charlie was gone, but I didn't realize it drove off the cliff into a 1800 km deep canyon and then exploded while being atomized by the fall.

seasons 1-6 are absolutely dope

i was actually OK with 8.. Charlie was just batshit crazy

Agree about the first six seasons. The writing was so sharp. I still laugh out loud at many episodes.

The years with Ashton Kutcher made no sense. Charlie accepted Alan into his home because he was his brother and he loved him (although he rarely showed it). And he loved his nephew.

Comedy has to be grounded in at least a tiny bit of truth for it to be funny. And there was nothing true about a billionaire allowing a moocher to live with him when they weren't even related.

i didn't even give Ashton a chance.. his first appearance just turned me off
