I really enjoy such slow crime thrillers which have a detective/lead trying to catch a killer.
But I cannot think of many movies like this..Some which come to mind are Se7en , No country for old men , Prisoners or even Jack Reacher.

Can anyone suggest me some more good movies of the type i have mentioned..?

I'm suprised that noone mentioned: Kvinden i buret (2013)

It's a pretty good one from Denmark, u will definetely like it.And it will continue with 2nd and 3rd part soon.

Yeah, that one is damn good. Just watched the first one. Nothing like Scandinoir, when done right.

Try Memories of Murder.
Much better than Tombstones.

This reminded me a little of Death Sentence, though that's not slow paced. Also shades of The Punisher.

The director's previous film, The Lookout, is much better.
