Why Do I Love This Movie So Much?

I saw this movie shortly after I visited Europe for the first time.

Is that why I think "Eurotrip" is so great?

Maybe it's incredibly sexy, wholesome, girl next door thing that Michelle Trachtenburg has going on.

Maybe its the "Robot Mime" scene. Or the "Gay Italian on Train" scene. Or the "You kissed your sister, dude!" scene. Or the "hot girls in the Jacuzzi" scene.

Maybe that's it: there are so many funny scenes, and so much funny dialog. And like the earlier reviewer said, it's never mean spirited or crude. Well, maybe a little crude. Maybe that's it?

This is the 2000's Animal House. It's a lot of "toilet humor", but very well written toilet humor. Plus it has a lot of bits that aren't toilet humor that are brilliant. The cast is entirely believable, and even the end sells because Scotty and Micha have real chemistry. Lighting in a bottle here.

So...that's why :).

I saw it this AM for the first time in a couple years and I loved it then and I loved it this AM.

Finally saw it and I agree. Great comedy certainly not the lame teen comedy film I was expecting, but something much much better.

Because it is just an awesome comedy.
I recently saw this for the first time and it has become one of my all time favorites.
Time is a better judge of comedy than movie critics.

I'm right there with you. I took a trip to Budapest a few months after seeing this in theaters. Since then, this is kind of a funny nostalgia feeling about Europe. Such an amazing place and an awesome movie.

All these years later I still check to see if they are doing another. Couldn't stop laughing at the stereotypes, but my favorite was the "Mother of God...we're in Eastern Europe!" Scene full of the old Soviet stereotypes. I mean, 1980 gold chains borrowed from Mr. T and Miami Vice number one hit new show? LMFAO! Greatest, funniest movie I've ever seen, instant all-time classic, chock full of cameos of Mat Damon, and Zena the Warrior Princess like you've never seen before (but probably many have thought about?)

I can't believe it was out of theaters so quickly, but the longer it goes the more people are exposed to it and love it.

My wife thought I was choking when she heard me wheezing to the jokes in this movie. [worst twins ever!]

And the Soundtrack is amazing!

I know what you guys mean about liking this movie. When this movie came out in early 2004, I was 28 years old and high school teen/college frat type comedies were something I stopped watching sometime in the late 90s. I remember when Road Trip came out in 2000, I had some friends who thought it was an awesome movie and I was like grow up people, we're like mid 20s now and that's a stupid movie for 18 year olds. So by 2004 I thought this genre was well behind me by age 28, but for whatever reason this movie got to me. I liked the trailers and I enjoyed the movie. It was funny without being as over the top gross and disgusting as Road Trip. I still get a kick out of it when I see it rerun on a cable channel, and I'm 40 today.

Because you have great taste in stress free comedy. It's top notch.
