Loved the movie until...

A word of caution, this post contains spoilers (though those who have never seen it should read what I have to say anyway)

I loved everything about this movie; the non-edited fight scenes, the violence, the characters, and Michael White is fantastic. I was all into the film until the very last scene where the main villain was in prison, walking from the water fountain, and suddenly ambushed and gang raped (it's suggested that the guy was anally raped with a shank). This is all done in a comedic tone by the way, so we're all suppose to laugh at this guy being raped with a shank.

I was wondering if anyone else was disgusted with the film because of this scene.

I don't think the rape scene was in there for comic relief. I know I wasn't laughing during the scene. It was all about Karma. James was a total @$$ and he killed many people. Some good and some not so good. I'm pretty sure several of the men in the prison knew about things James had done on the outside and they were going to pay him back for all the wrong doing he did. So basically James got what he deserved. Yes, realistically this could happen in a real prison and has. People getting stabbed and raped in prison does happen. If something like this offends you, stay away from these type of films.

No I wasn't disgusted with the rape scene because of all the lives James ruined and ended. He had that stuff coming. Or like the poster above me said it was Karma.

Reading this while listening to the credits...when I watched that I thought justice. I did not find it funny until you suggested it was and now I see the funny side I can't stop laughing!!!!!

It is simply poetic justice. An evil man that thought of himself as the ultimate Alpha male was reduced to nothing.

Exactly, I thought they where going to kill him for threatening to snitch on the dude at the end. Rape is no joke but you can get over a sore ass eventually, you aint coming back from death though.

The OP mad cause he got raped in prison. HAHAHA!

No Number is best. 3 builds better than 2. 2 loves better than 1 and 1 mind is better than 3.

I have to admit, I felt the same way. Other than that, the movie was very good overall. Though the story was very typical and it came off like many of Van Damme and Seagal's better action movies, it was a great vehicle for White who has deserved a movie like this to show off his skills.

But that final scene was just unnecessary. The dude James is not only in prison for life but he lost his hand. No need to do him like that for a cheap laugh. It was very immature. They could have deleted it and no one would miss it.

That was supposed to be comedic? Wow, the director must be the most humorless SOB on the face of the earth. This film had a real meanness and humorless quality to it. I usually like films like this but between the racist tone and the sheer hatefulness the film exudes, I was really turned off.
