I think High School Musical is better. From Justin to Kelly doesn't have a great story line, or good actors, but it's enjoyable enough for younger people. High School Musical has a soundtrack that tons of people listen to and love. The story wasn't great either, but some of the acting was good. I think the vocals were pretty good and the general music is better than in Justin to Kelly. They seem pretty equal, I guess, but I personally think High School Musical was better, besides the whole over the top eclectic drama teacher.

first of all, it's clarkson and not clarkston. second, she was contractually obligated to do it. plus, american idol doesnt automatically make you a star(look at justin. it's how you stay in the business, not how you get in the business.

but i think j2k is better just because the singing is so much better than that in hsm.

i have to disagree i've seen both movies and the one who doesnt have a good story line is HSM the reason is that they are all over the place. FJTK has one single story line that follows through the movie.so i think from justin to kelly is better. dont get me wrong i like the songs from high school musical but it want thet good to say i'll watch it over and over again. un-like from justin to kelly i dont mind watching it non stop. but this is my opinion

Yes the people in J2k did sing a ton better than the actors in
HSM. But hey, how can we compare Kelly Clarkson to that Vanessa girl who acted in "Thunderbirds". And how can we compare Justin Guarini who can sing live to Zac Effron who did not sing any song in High School Musical. Yeah people keep saying that they mixed his voice with Andrew Seely and all that crap but who cares. HE DIDN't SING THE SONGS FROM THE MOVIE! THAT HE STAR"D IN!!!!!!!
Don't u think that sumthin is wrong with that. And now they are making a sequel to it. Sadly I most likely will watch it. Lol. And buy the soundtrack like I did the first...

hsm and fj2k both sucked... they just do... period... How can a regular basketball game break into a musical and everybody sings in harmony, or when was the last time you saw a beach filled with musical hippies...

leave the musicals for stages only, not on the TV

pacificpride2k6 I hear no one complaining about Phantom of the Opera being on Tv......musicals don't have to be on stage to ge successful.

Okay so I just watched them both back 2 back.
I am just plain annoyed when watching HSM now... Especially knowing that Zac E. doesn't sing most of the songs that has him in it.
And then with J2k. Well I just can't watch any parts without music becuase of the acting. Plus it gets really boring after seeing it so many times. But I still have 2 say that its not as bad as people make it out 2 be.

So overall...
I'd rather watch something else rather then either one of these..

I hate both of them. HSM is horrible, in my opinion, and I will never watch it again. My cousin made me watch it with her and I had my hand up to my temple and made the trigger motion quite often.

FJ2K is cheesy. Hah. I remember seeing it in the movie theatres and I was like "What..??!" Oh so much fun to make fun of when it's on. It gives you a headache too. I used the whole 'trigger motion' with that to.

Neither win.

They were both depressing, horrible movies, but I do have to say that HSM is worse. Nobody went out and forked out a hundred bucks for the FJ2K game, special edition DVD, soundtrack, companion "novels", etc. FJ2K is only better because we killed it and killed it dead. HSM still lives on.

I like them both. I can see that both are quite corny and some of trhe actors arent the best, but I can't help it. They're both so addicting!

If I had to watch one I would probably choose J2K. I have seen HSM waaaaaay too many times (was full-on obsessed with it a while ago, I have since mostly gotten over it). J2K is more grown up, has better singing and dancing, and an amazing kiss at the end.
