Hot or not, Uma was really badly made up and coiffed on this film. Lousy art direction and production design all around.

no, she is just an average looking woman that looks better with make up, walking down the street in any big city and you will see many women who are much better looking than UT, but she is a good actress though.

Compared with some other actors, she is not that hot. As an example, you can use Charlize Theron, Jessica Alba, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Mila Jovovic and many more. These are the older ones, the younger are even more hotter. But Uma? C'mon, she was never so hot. She's not even pretty, compared to her competition.

It's not an attention thing, I read comments based on their subjects. Using all caps just looks pretty cheap, is all. Using proper case sensitivity is not that difficult.

Yep I agree, Uma is not one of the hottest babes in Hollywood, but she isn't terribly ugly either. I think she has a lot of style - check Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill Vol. I and II.
In Paycheck I think her tan is very faux looking and exaggerated, her hairdo is rather poorly done (that is definitely the case with all women in this flick).
The main problem is that Uma is somehow miscast. Ben Affleck would have needed a drop dead gorgeous babe as his female scientist partner.
No shortage of these in Los Angeles I guess.
Nobody said that Uma is a drop dead gorgeous babe. But - as I said - she's got a lot of style - at least in my humble opinion.

Perhaps you don't know that all uppercase is harder to read. It takes about 25% longer as I recall. That's because you're leaving out punctuation. It's similar to leaving out all your periods.

The problem is that people usually cast whoever is trendy at the moment (god, I hate that word). Remember when Penelope Cruz had to be in one of three movies on screen? When have you seen her last?
This film was made a couple of months after "Kill Bill". That's the only reason she's in it.

I think Uma Thurman is beautiful. Not in the traditional way she has a sort of radiant presence to her I think. Kind of like you can feel her heart even through the screen. As for her face it's really unique and I dig that. Theres to many barbie doll types in hollywood these days. There all plastic manufactured clones she has somthing that is not the norm and I think it's wonderful.

I agree she is lovely beyond the norm and there are some nice shots of her skin looking radiant. I have seen her in person several times just walking in the Village and the effect is still stunning. I agree that this film would def not win any hair and make-up awards. I don't see how hard it would be to get her hair to look good unless all the bleaching in Kill Bill damaged her hair, which looks to be the case. That said there are still quick fixes to make the hair look better for the filming at least.

I give her props ,because she had just finished "Kill Bill" so of course she felt like crap...But that doesn't mean she should have looked that way.also, maybe Ben used the entire makeup kits on set.

She looked nice in Kill Bill... I'm not sure what was going on in this movie. It wasn't just her face, it was her hair and that stupid vest that she had on that was zipped all the way up. The acting didn't help much either. Let's just give her the L on this one and move on to better movies.

Uma has never been that good looking. She's not partucularly beautiful, or cute even, which can be more appealing than beauty in my opinion. It's the bod that makes up for her looks. I've seen a life cast of her face. I know those things aren't particularly flattering, but seriously, if the lifecast is anything to go by, then close up she's quite strange looking.

Anyone who thinks Uma Thurman is ugly must have their eyes connected to their brain in a different way to mine.
Those eyes, those cheekbones, those generous lips, the angles of her face. And when she smiles - stunning.
As Sting said, "her beauty is not chocolate box; it's unique".

She also comes across as intelligent, thoughtful and genuinely nice. Has anyone who's worked with her had a bad word to say about her? I can't find record of it.

Isn't it about time all of you who have nothing better to do than post insults about other human beings found something more positive to do with your lives?

I think she is the kind of actress that has a niche following, similar to other ugly women in Hollywood. I think shes ugly even by non-Hollywood standards, but then theres always at least one person who is going to find someone like this attractive.
