Kim Basinger, SO BAD!
Her performance was actually laughable. Me and a friend watched it and thought "How has she won an Oscar!?" She's very dramatic in this film and not in a good way!!
Streep/Cotillard/Weaver/Bullock/Cruz
Kim Basinger is normally a good actress; she won an Oscar for L.A. Confidential. And she was excellent in a movie called “The Door in the Floor”, based on a portion of the John Irving novel “A Widow For One Year”. Of course she acted opposite the great Jeff Bridges. He can elevate anyone! He's the best, and they have wonderful chemistry. I believe they've been in 3 or 4 films together.share
She and ex- husband Alec Baldwin were divorcing and in a custody battle; perhaps she was preoccupied with that at the time, and her acting suffered.
