All movies with Jack Sparrow are movies worth making and worth watching.

I was wondering if anyone thought along the same lines. I cannot watch the sequels ever again. They were all completely ridiculous except for this original film.

I couldn't give a crap about pirates 2 and 3... I like 1 well enough. Surprisingly, I don't find 4 to be all that bad. Nothing amazing...but honestly the first one wasn't that amazing either. 2 and 3 are actually bad.

In some ways, I do like the idea of everyone just living happily ever after. I don't hate the sequels, but they certainly got worse as they went on. If the first Pirates hadn't been a hit, it could have become a cult classic and no sequels would have been made. But that was never going to happen. The first movie is too dang good. Everyone liked it, so of course there had to be a franchise.

I disregard the movies after the second one, but this is undoubtedly the best out of the series.
