To me its only one good pirates Movie and that is the first one, anyone else who dont care about the sequels at all?

shareYes, I would agree with you there. They should have just made that one and had a classic instead of all these silly sequels but I guess it is easier to make sequels than coming up with an original idea.
shareI really liked Dead Man's Chest..it was fun but At World's End sucked! and the next one with Penelope Cruz was even worse.
share1st film is my #44 all time.
2 & 3 are B+ entertainments; rewatches helped wrap my head around the story lines.
Part 4 was one of the worst experiences.
Thus I only disregard the 4th.

The two sequels are alright, but still on the "bad" side. The fourth one is just horrible.
I love Dead Man's Chest, but unfortunately that movie ends on a cliffhanger and is tied directly with At World's End which…is a mess.
At World's End had good ideas, and had great a and music, but the plot was needlessly convoluted with tons of superfluous characters constantly switching sides and hopping from ship to ship. The movie couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a dark epic or a comedy, and the action sequences and the humor were over-the-top to a fault. It's certainly watchable, but it wasn't the best conclusion to the trilogy.
On Stranger Tides has the opposite problem of At World's End. While At World's End missed the mark, it at least tried to do something different and was filled with crazy ideas that made it stand out. On Stranger Tides is simple, bland and forgettable.
I do wish they had made Dead Man's Chest a bit more contained and complete as a film. It's a mostly pretty good sequel that unfortunately ends up tied too heavily to the third movie.

shareThe funny thing is that the whole Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise, from the very beginning, was based off of the novel "On Stranger Tides". So in reality, the fourth movie is the one most closely tied to it's original source material.
That said, the first movie was definitely the best. The rest had their moments but the first was the only one that was good all the way through.
At World's End is the best, so epic! Love that whole adventure. They're all pretty great tbh.
