One hundred years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez
Very eerie ,mesmerizing, a lot of religious/mystical things occur in this book. It doesn't have to do with a carnival of people per se, but it quite an intriguing story that surrounds a family. Check it out, you will enjoy it :D
