I think this is my favorite movie. It manages to make you live the story and feel many things regarding the characters. Plus, just like in life, there isn't a real antagonist or protagonist, at times you feel Ed is the bad guy, while some other times you feel it's Will. Fascinating.

It is exceptional. The closing scenes where the son spins a story to his dying father about how his life ends had me in tears. Too, at the end of the movie, when everyone in his father's life actually shows up at his funeral. Wow. The had the privilege of working on "The Impossible" - filmed in Bangkok - and doing several scenes with both Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. I told Ewan how much I enjoyed "Big Fish", and Naomi how much I enjoyed "The Assassination of Richard Nixon" - an amazing movie, based on truth. I am a lucky guy.

The movie is fantastic. Tim Burton has never directed a movie I liked apart from this. This was just magical.

I like how Edward Bloom comes off as a real person while maintaining an almost quaint aurora like what one would find from an extra in Leave it to Beaver or The Andy Griffith Show. He really stands out in his own stories, lending a surreal charm in an account that happens to be true. It really is cool how reality and fiction are blended, woven wonderfully to reaffirm the bond between father and son gone astray.

Yeah I agree it’s a really good movie.
