Sorry to say this but, I enjoyed this movie.

I knew before I watched it that it would be crappy so, I hadd low expectations. It was an enjoyable zombie movie. It's basically the same as the game. The games didn't really have much plot. They were just about killing. THe game wasn't that great so, why does the movie have to be?

reply

It has to be because it is a movie. The acting alone made my ears hurt. You just said that the movie wasn't that great yet you enjoyed it. Saying you enjoyed it makes it even harder to understand you.

reply

This is the only Uwe Boll movie I enjoyed though. I hated Bloodrayne and Alone in the Dark was *beep* awful.

reply

Well, why make a s***ty movie out of an already s***ty videogame..

reply

You could have throw a better cast, crew and money at this thing and it still would have been crap.

reply

it was a good game, don't compare this movie to it

reply

I actually saw this at the movies and hated it. I then hapened to see it on cable and thought it somehow wasn't as bad I remembered. Then a friend let me borrow three of his DVD rentals one weekend and this movie was included in the trio. I actually watched it for a third time and started to like it. I know this sounds weird but the more I see this movie the more I like it lol.

reply

Same here. I'm a big Uwe Boll fan because his movies are so hilariously put together (terrible miscasting, second rate performances, glaring plot holes, ridiculous premises etc), so even though I hated it the first time I saw it, I bought House Of The Dead in a bargain bin, for about 80% off.

After the third viewing total, I loved it enough to rate it a 4/10.

The game was well-made and was fun for being a fairly mindless but enjoyable shooter(like a lot of good shooter games). The game's rather mild emphasis on plot should have maybe been incentive enough to discourage a movie adaptation attempt altogether.
Though then again, a lack of creativity should have maybe been incentive enough to discourage a certain someone's venture into the film directing business.

reply

I'm with you ChainsawQuartet. This film is everything I expected it not to be--and totally lives up to the cheesiness of the video game. I could watch this junk over and over again.

I'm with you guys too. The game had people shooting loads of zombies. So did the film. The game had cheesy dialogue. So did the film. Not to mention the fact that the bald bad guy getting his head crushed at the end is one of the funniest things I've seen on film.

reply

The only thing(s) I enjoyed about this utter piece of crap were Erica Durance's perfect tits...

reply

This movie was an embarrassment to the game. They were barely any characters from the game mentioned in this movie. It seemed like they were trying to cash in on the game, while making there own movie.

And how the heck can those college students suddenly know how to shoot like that? It doesn't make sense. It should of been about the two agents instead of these kids, who turns out one of them is curin.

reply

I actually enjoyed this movie pretty much. So much I've seen it twice in a couple of months time. Not because it's good but because it's so extremely bad and stupid it actually gets funny. Of course it's a bad movie, but I personally dislike movies which are bad _and_ a pain in the ass to watch more than House of the Dead.

the movie was kind of good and had some hot women in it.thats always a plus.

reply

Sometimes the hate for this film is getting ridiculous. Who in their right mind would watch this movie expecting it to be any good? If you expect something bad, it's really quite enjoyable. I could think of much more film that I hated more that this one.

reply

Don't worry about what anyone says. I love thi movie too. I don't see whats wrong with it. Who cares what others think. All I know is I love it and I'm not asshamed of it.

reply

anyone who said that this movie was good on any level whatsoever is bening ignored on my list since they are obviously grouped with the most retarded people i could ever think of.

reply

I don't think they'll care.

Personally I haven't seen the movie and I could never get 'outraged' at it just for being comically awful.

Calm down.

I liked it, wasn't that great of a movie. It could have been better if Uwe Boll, had a bigger budget. Wait...... $9,000,000. Well, still it wasn't as bad as Day of the Dead 2.

reply

this movie was based on a game. in a game do you get mad when the characters know how to shoot a gun or land a kick? this movie was exactly what i expected it to be and definitely does not deserve to be rated one of the worst movies of all time. it is crazy to think of how many thousands of people out there can't watch this movie just because it actually has the feel of a game to it. a game is not real. it is not confined to the same rules as other movies are because it is not confined to our reality. that is what is good about games because they create another reality different from our own. they enable us to escape to another reality where you can be a first person shooter no matter who you are or where you came from. if you get into a gaming mindset, this is a decent movie. everyone saying otherwise is simply closed minded and pathetic.

I like cheesy horror movies, especially anything with zombies or werewolves. I liked this movie. It was actually pretty funny, not great, but funny. I knew it would be. After I watched it I overheard two guys having an "intellectual" conversation on how bad the movie was. Hey if you're that smart you should know the movie is going to be bad. It's not Schindler's List...

This movie was a cinematic abortion.

Stop saying this is a movie. It's a joke for April fool's day, only that it couldn't be released on April. Or, it's an excuse for money laundry. And we, people that are fans of the zombie genre, are a bunch of sad victims.

No one should apologize for enjoying this or any other movie, and some people need to quit be asses and allow people to have their own opinions...I thought it was bad, but I don't get made if other people like it.

I agree. We can share different opinions about the movie. We can respect or disrespect the movie with total freedom, but a debate is always a debate, and it doesn`t include disrespectful comments about other posters. Such attitude is only the lamentable way some frustrated isolated repressed people find to do some free therapy on line.
As for the poster, he shouldn't be apologizing for liking this movie. I loathe this movie in a way and this feeling doesn't make me blind to feel any apathy for the ones that actually enjoy it. On the contrary: I prefer to know their point of view.

It was ok, the only parts that i hated was when someone died they were upset for a second then they were fine (like when the guys girlfriend got shot he wasn't really angry about that).

This movie was brilliantly awful, a pitch-perfect B-movie. Clint Howard, rad exploding head shots, a zombie swordfight, and boobies. Doesn't get much better than this, folks.
