I absolutely loved this movie. It had effects on my brain that not many other movies have had. I was wondering if there are any other movies out there that are similar? preferably non-hollywood.

'Another Earth' and 'Melancholia' had a similar after effect on me. Dreamy sci-fi with a sadness to it.
shareHmm, two more films which havent been mentioned here, not similar to this film in theme but in a kind of visual style that really captures your attention, pulls you in. The New World (2005), that is quite an experience of a film, much like Solaris was for me. Also Equilibrium is worth mentioning, another one of those films which struck me when I first saw it. Someone already mentioned Blade Runner, a must watch if you havent seen it already.
