This is the second time this month where I have wasted nearly 2 hours of my life on an utterly woeful movie.
Literally nothing happened in this movie. It was boring, bland and quite frankly a waste of time, effort and money.
This is the second worst movie I have ever watched. Only slightly better than that piece of rubbish Atonement.
Literally nothing happened in this movie.That's literally nonsense. A lot happened in this movie. To have literally nothing happen in a movie you'd have to have all the characters sit in one spot for two hours and say nothing.
The original poster must be a teenager. This is the same quibble they have with Merchant Ivory or period movies, that "nothing happens", yet in every scene, soemthing definately happens, only it's internal, not an explosion. More happens in this movie in 5 minutes than in the entire Transformers series.

It's easily, in my humble opinion, one of the ten best movies of the decade of the 2000's. But to each his own. The wonderful thing about cinema is that there's something for everyone.
shareWhat interested me about this movie was the conformity. The wife, the husband and the gardener were trying to be their natural selves in a sea of conformity where just about all the others had to stick to the confines of their likes and dislikes. Not sure about the wife's friend. She tried to be the friend but had her own pressure of conformity. That's the best I can say at the moment. See if you can take it any deeper than this.
