Rewatching Tonight for the first time since Theaters

I'm giving this movie a watch tonight for the first time since it was released.

Likes- All the actors equally fit their characters, The violence, gore, and story all fit the lore of the games and it's great to see an R rated Mortal Kombat come to life. Great CGI and no bad Goro puppet like the first 90s movie.

Dislikes- The movie felt like it was more of a setup to the sequel. The idea of each character finding their "Acana" was completely made up way to explain the fatalities.

Overall i like this movie and it's much better than both of the 90s movies. I look forward to seeing the tournament in the sequel along with Johnny Cage and Shao Kahn.

I was kinda young when playing this, had to weasel my way into the M rating. Streetfighter games were never as realistic or graphically smooth as MK. Almost feels cruel.
