Is the R rated Directors Cut worth watching?

Theatrical cuts are normally bad, definitely watch the Director's Cut. Another movie that got slaughtered because of a bad Theatrical release was Sucker Punch. Director's Cut is way better. I'm also not a fan of super hero movies (apart from darker ones like this), but this was a solid 7/10.
