They removed her "peace" sign from U.S. print advertisements because of the Iraq War
Since the USA doesn't support peace whatsoever can't have a poster with someone showing the peace symbol!

shareSure. That’s why. 🙄
The studio just didn’t want to cause any knee-jerk controversy with anyone mistakingly thinking the artwork was a war protest since petty people love to bitch and cause issues where they don’t exist.
It makes no sense, people can't make a peace symbol anymore? Winston Churchill did that sign in WW2 all the time.
It's not even a political statement. It just means "peace"... How is that political? It was never political in the 60s or 70s or even the 90s. Now , after 9/11, you can't even make a peace sign with your fingers without someone thinking you are somehow challenging U.S. foreign policy, or middle-east policy decisions. Pretty sad. People have gotten pretty weak-willed, all around.
I agree. But like I said, people look for reasons to bitch to the point where they’ll create issues where they don’t exist.
shareIt can also mean "V for Victory" which is likely how Churchill was using it at the time.
shareThey should have changed it to a Black Power Fist. 😂
