Are there any (male) americans...

who like football(sry soccer :D)? It seems like that only female americans are interested in football while the men are more keen on baseball, basketball and american football...

there are American males who like futball/soccer though it is mostly a niche "die hard" fanbase and most are interested in it as a change of pace sport. if there is a World Cup or Olympics or other international competition that the US mens team is playing then they will be more willing to watch it (as well as those who root for those other countries teams), but not as much in terms of games within the US such as the Major League Soccer. If the US Mens team was more consistent in terms of winning and playing greatly, possibly having a chance of being a contender then it would be more likable among the American males. Right now, American men are more into the US Womens Soccer Team than the Mens since they're the ones winning. Of course, some of those Womens players sure are pretty like Alex Morgan and Hope Solo and that is also a part of the appeal.

Hockey is also more popular than soccer in the U.S.. Some men like soccer. Many of them are immigrants or the sons of immigrants. Some played soccer growing up. Soccer is popular as a youth sport in America. It isn't very popular as a spectator sport. But there is a professional soccer league.

This is true - today. But professional soccer is gaining on professional hockey. Soccer audiences are getting bigger and bigger every year - going from an average of 10,000 per match, to 11,000, to 12,000, and they keep on going up. And soccer is expanding into more and more markets every year.

In 10 years, soccer is going to overtake hockey in America - 2025.

It's funny, the OP was probably correct (or more correct) 6 years ago when they posted this. but when NBC started broadcasting the EPL a year ago, it seems like it's getting more and more popular. not that it's huge or anything, just more than it was 6 years ago.
