Rate the 3 best drug-induced movies (other than ones to do with weed) in your favourite order.
Mine would have to be:
1) Spun
2) Requiem For A Dream
3) Trainspotting
I only put these movies in the same class because they all show very real consequences of drug-addiction/drug-taking, and all have excellent casts. Feel free to say otherwise...

meh I didnt like Requiem for a dream, and it seems to be on everyones lists. and im a total junk film junkie! hihi. in my opinion, christiane f would deffo take the first place, deffo deffo deffffooo. its one of my favourite films ever. everything about it its just glorious and i could watch it everyday. trainspotting would be on that list too, not to mention the panic in needle park, basketball diaries, BLOW! there's a lot more but these are the ones worth mentioning.

I'm surprised,it was a good one. Worth watching,even though it's German.
Those movies are, however enjoyable, still a bit like Disney rides when it comes to movies and drugs.
Both Requiem For A Dream and Spun draw aesthetically from Gus van Sant's 'Drugstore Cowboy'. And if there is ever a movie that functions as 'blueprint' when it comes to heroine, you have to mention Christine F: Wir Kindern from Bahnhof Zoo!

3)Human traffic (not to be confused with TRAFFIC..HUMAN TRAFFIC..)
4)Barfly(alcohol--they way it is represented in the movie..it might as well be a REAL illlegal drug)

No, If I induldge myself a little more, I'd have put REquiem for a dream..
But I'll stick to listing the "3"
Whomever the OP was is wrong. spun is not up to par with requiem for a dream or even trainspotting.. with spun i thought it would be better be cause of the past. some dude just gets used to drive around some meth cooker.. he is delusional about his "gf" and leaves a girls tied up in his room... oookay?? weirdness between schwartzmen and brittney murphey. this movie was just weird. and the shots after they took pumps were so stupid and unrealistic.. just overdone. requiem did a much better job.. not to mention it was with a different drug. i just wouldn't compare them because the latter is in a far more advanced class than spun.. really.
