With Vietnam, Americans gave North Vietnam a beatdown, but they didn’t realize that North Vietnam didn’t care; north Vietnam was fighting for nationalism (not communism). America would’ve had to kill almost everyone in the country to win that war. Hence, the war was winnable.
Vietnam was a total failure. At least in Afghanistan we managed to find and kill Osama Bin Laden.
