Fact - Morris was a lousy big league pitcher

Go here to see his career stats.

Pitched just 15 innings in his major league "career" and no decisions or saves and an era of 4.80.

The movie did however get his initial MLB appearance right. Pitched to just one batter and struck him out. That's where the movie ended.

Was the number 4 pick in the first round of the 1983 draft so when 19, he really was a good prospect.

Plus don't forget that he started his baseball carrier very late, a lot of players had his age are thinking of retirement and now starting or returning to the game of baseball.

You completely missed the point of the movie. No one said he became a hall of famer or was a lights out pitcher. The point of the movie was that a guy who thought his dream was dead tried again at an age when ballplayers were thinking about retirement and made it, albeit for a short time. Less than 1% of athletes become professionals and he can make that claim. There are thousands of ballplayers who would kill to have Morris' cup of coffee in the big leagues.

What are your MLB stats you bottom feeding loser?!

It still amazes me that the only way some people feel special is by pissing on someone's else's accomplishments.
