Am I the only person who loves this movie?

I mean, I know that it has its faults, but I thought that there were some parts of this film that were genuinely enjoyable. Any thoughts?

I agree with you. I like the movie
7/10 actually :)

It's not great, but I think it's cute.

I like it too. I've seen a lot worse movies than this. Gwyneth Paltrow rocks! Mike Myers, quirky as ever !

I normally can't stand chick flicks, but I really love this movie.

The only thing I would have changed is when Gwyneth and Christina are fighting,
Gwyneth should have recalled a little known procedure from her exemplary training accomplishments and used some sort of an ingenious “garbage disposal” chute to flush Christina (something Christina would never have seen coming since she cheated on her exams) out of the cabin.

Section 12, paragraph 4: Emergency plagiarist disposal unit activation procedures.

Clink,

Clank,

SwoOOOooosh!

I was stuck at work on a Saturday, and nothing else was on. So I thought I'd check it out, I heard Mike Myers was funny in it. Well, he kinda was.

It definitely wasn't the funniest movie I've seen, but I didn't mind it. The ending was definitely cheesy(hence the chick flick), but I liked most of it. Overall, "Up in the Air" was way better. But, it's a good rental if you want a silly light hearted movie. And the guys will love all those tight uniforms..*g*

Oh, no, you're not the only one, I love it too!!

I thought the film was good, up until Paltrow tells Ruffalo that she is leaving him for the second time. Everything from that moment on goes way down hill. I'd rate the before her second leaving a 7 out of 10, it was highly enjoyable. However after that point it is clearly a 1 out of 10 in my mind. It becomes so dumb, and so ridiculously predictable that it is almost sickening. At least that was my take on it.

I usually love cat fights in films too, but this one just seemed so misplaced and badly done. It was just Applegate beating on Paltrow, it was lame. And the only funny part of the whole fight was when Christina bashed Paltrows face off of the dough a few times.

My body's a cage, it's been used and abused...and I...LIKE IT!!

This is what ruined it for me. (The fight scene, not the whole movie.) It was so extreme it belonged in a different comedy, not with this fairly straight rom-com deal.

Nope, you're not alone; I loved it too.

Nope. I thoroughly enjoy this movie because it is EXACTLY what it promised to be... fluffy, fun, and entertaining... a true pop-corn movie. People try to take every movie so seriously-- some are just made to be box-y and that's it.

Jen: Why movies? What's the attraction?
Dawson: I reject reality.

(the revolving apartment shot depicting the change of seasons was brilliant).

I have to add, this is a movie that promotes achievement, accomplishment, getting out of the sticks and becoming what you always wanted to be, a movie star, business tycoon or even just a modest airline attendant.

When Gwenth is ascending the escalator (and has finally “made it”), she salutes her peers and is seen in an overhead shot standing on an inlaid floor with the world literally at her feet, I couldn't help but cheer out loud! (and that's coming from a hard core, nasty, skanky dude)

However, that being said, sometimes getting everything you want (sitting on a bench in Paris wearing “the more expensive” yellow outfit) is not all it’s cracked up to be. Especially when you are missing the one you love.

A good movie and a great lesson.

Not the greatest movie ever, but I do enjoy it.

The one thing I struggle with is Donna's apartment in NYC. It's huge with a view. How much do flight attendant's make? Even those in "Paris, First Class, International"
