That dog in the aunt's house should be dead i mean Michael jr remember the dog from when he was 5 years old and in the movie he is already 12 so the dog must have more than 7 years old that is a really old dog if he was still alive he wouldnt be running and jumping like a young pup

The dog looked like a Golden Retriever. Those breeds live to 10-12 years. So at age 7, the dog wasn't that old. We should presume the dog was a puppy when Michael first saw it.
