Or it's up there. I mean, c'mon. The Thomas Newman music. The Hanks dialed to 11. Paul Newman. It's so good it hurts.

...also the award winning cinematography by the great Conrad Hall, his final film. To have such an amazing career as this man, and end on such a high note, is truly impressive. He shot Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. He shot Cool Hand Luke. In Cold Blood. He won an Oscar for each of his final 2 films.

And Hanks' character's wife is played by Jennifer Jason Leigh, and there's just not a thing wrong with that woman. She's endlessly watchable, and even in a small role makes a big impression.

Don’t think I’d call it a favorite, but definitely a masterful piece of work and wrongfully forgotten.

That’s a huge call, but not one I’d necessarily argue against if that’s the way you feel.

I think it’s a truly magnificent piece of work. I’m not one for rewatching movies over and over, but I have seen this gem three or maybe four times, and my appreciation for it has only grown with each viewing.

Just seeing it appear in the Trending panel makes me want to dust off my DVD copy and revisit it one more time.
