Gwyneth Paltrow announces her biggest movie regret as 'disastrous' Shallow Hal

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed her least favourite movie role ever, and it's quite a surprise.

The 47-year-old actress has listed the hit comedy 'Shallow Hal' as bottom of the barrel when it comes to her career.
In the movie, Chris Martin's ex-wife played obese woman Rosemary who is seen as a more slimmer version of herself by Black's character Hal Larson after he is hypnotized.

The Oscar-winning actress and Goop lifestyle brand founder referred to her role as Rosemary in the Farrelly brothers 2001 comedy as "a disaster."

Despite the popularity of the blockbuster, Gweny has admitted that she wasn't a fan of her own acting in the flick.

The star revealed her dilemma in a video for Netflix where she quizzed her assistant and BFF, Kevin Keating about how well he knows her.

Gwyneth also went on to reveal that she found it 'disturbing' how she was treated when she was a couple of pounds heavier.

For the rather unusual role, Gwyneth was forced to wear a fat suit to portray her character, Rosemary.

The star admitted that she regularly felt 'humiliated' when she seen out in public in the suit while filming, and added that passers by would avoid eye-contact with her due to her size.

She explained: "The first day I tried the fat suit on, I was in the Tribeca Grand and I walked through the lobby.

"It was so sad; it was so disturbing. No one would make eye contact with me because I was obese.

"For some reason, the ... clothes they make for women that are overweight are horrible.

"I felt humiliated because people were really dismissive."

Wow that's really ironic and really scary how fat people are treated so derogatorily and with such bias. Paltrow basically learned how shallow EVERYONE is.

Who wrote/edited this crappy article? "more slimmer"? Really? And in an article about her career, why refer to a past marriage? Why wasn't it "Oscar winning actor Gwyneth Paltrow"? So slanted.

Note to self: avoid those sites.

SHE ONLY SPEAKS OF REACTIONS SHE RECEIVED WHILE IN THE FAT SUIT OUT IN PUBLIC...NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FILM OR HER ROLE OR ANYTHING.🤔

reply

True.
One thing to think of:
Considering she's still an extreme fitness believer, it didn't really change her outlook and make her want to be fat.
