That little girl with the burnt face just makes me cry
So sad, and a nice touching moment with Black.

I tear up too, and usually cry when we see the back of the poor girl's head and how she's basically bald. They can't fix that surgically can they?
"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."
I've thought the same thing. I also think that's that the point in the plot where Hal understands just how much he's been only looking at the outside.
Close only counts with horseshoes, hand grenades, and thermo-nuclear weapons.
That was the best part of the movie, especially when Cadence tells Hal how he can make up with Rosemary.
To answer another poster's question, when the skin is burnt like that, the hair follicles are burnt, too. But through "locks of love" and the wonderful hair prosthetics available today, that can be fixed.

That scene is what makes this movie for me.
The look on Jack Black's face is an awesome piece of acting on his part.
totally cry every time it gets to this too... so moving, played so touchingly by black - probably his miost moving moments of his career
shareThe single most important scene of the film. I tear up, also!

I tear up on that scene and on the scene in which Rosemary is leaving the restaurant crying.

Seamus Finnigan has stolen my heart
i agree its touching and i am man enough to admit it.
Its amazing really, the fact that she had a burnt face did not take away from her cutness and hal realised it too
For me this is the best scene in the film, and Black really shows his acting ability in this scene!
