Well he had no friends at the start of the ride, but he bought himself one with Ron, which led to him gaining a surrogate family that loved him, and marrying Jennie, so in the end it paid off.

Besides, if anyone was upset about the lack of sweets and confronted Harry about it, I'm sure he would have said "Well here you, on me."

I have a feeling that since it's a magical train going to a magical school, they probably would just summon more from Honeydukes in similar fashion to how the house elves make dinners appear on the tables in the great hall.

my thoughts exactly.

I just watched this and he says something “I’ll take the lot.” Of “Entire lot.” I took it to mean one of everything. Not everything. Of course I could be wrong

reply

That's how I read it as well. Maybe not just one of each because he shared with Ron but a sampling of everything.

reply

That's how it reads in the books, too. His original request, Mars Bars, aren't available, so he buys a little of everything on the cart.

reply

Typical arrogant Harry move. Full of himself just like his father James was. Snape was right...

reply

Absolutely not. Harry was never full of himself, and I deeply dislike Snape.

reply

agree he was very selfish

reply

No, he wasn't.

reply

He just bought what was on the cart. Like on a airplane someone else has a cart going around also. That is a big train so there is at least another cart. Or she just went to storage and restocked the cart she had.

reply

The lady with the trolly probably just clicked her fingers and the cart was filled again. Hah-hah.
