Aaliyah was perfect.

Yes she was she was true to the character.

After many years of avoiding this movie based on the bad reviews, I finally watched it. I thought it was entertaining enough to watch it to the end but I thought Aaliyah was terrible. He accent was laughable and the dancing made me roll my eyes. I even laughed at the characters death. It was clear her acting "skills" were far below the rest of the actors in the film. I really think the movie would've been better with an actual actress.

She was talented artist with music but not as actor.

I had no idea who she was or that she's dead so I had no preconceived ideas or thought. I thought she was bad. Like others said: a campy, cheesy,caricature performance. She was about as menacing as a squirrel guarding an acorn.

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!
