This woman wasn't depressed...

It seems she had some personality disorder, narcissism, she's self-centered. But that's NOT a depression.

Dissapointing movie.

It's clear she has depression but that is only one of the symptoms of her obvious Borderline Personality Disorder. She meet almost all of the criteria from the DSM.

Yeah, I'm half way through it and I'm NOT feeling much here...

Was this her bid for an oscar?

The limits of her range are apparent here.

Narcissism is a HUGE part of Depression. People with severe Depression begin to feel bad for themselves in all situations. They often develop a poor me mentality and stop caring for anyone but themselves.

That may be. But it's hard to give a crap about someone who acts in the way this character was depicted.

That's absolutely true. No one understands it until they live it. I have a hard time with dealing with people with severe Depression and I have it myself.

Depression runs in my family. I have severe bouts myself, and I tend to just stay the heck away from people when I do.
