3.9 really?!!!

I am really startled that this film received THAT poor a rating! I really liked this movie, it was very clever.
Yes it was flawed, but it was quite underrated and certainly deserves a better rating than this!

I agree 100%
I thought this movie was awesome and way better than the first. It is one of the most underrated horror films ever made behind Halloween 3 and House 2.

I agree with you. The rating is absolutely ridiculous. I've noticed that sequels which are basically the same plot with different characters receive praise among horror fans, but sequels that dare to be clever or unique (this film, Exorcist II: The Heretic, and Halloween 3: Season of the Witch for example) get nothing but hate. I think it's unfair.

I couldn't agree more, and I'd add Alien 3 to that list too, the Assembly Cut is very very very underrated, much like Halloween 3, BlairWitch 2 and Predator 2. I LOVED the first BW film but I think that this film was very good too and it had a great twist at the end.

It's a shame that it is rated so low. Keep in mind that part of the backlash, from people thinking the first was real & finding out it was only a movie, it got taken out on this movie. They went in wanting to hate it. It was really different & again, no CGI witches popping out!

A lot of the blame can be put on the studio for this movie failing, since from what I've read, they ended up making them change a lot of things and adding some very unnecessary scenes that just didn't fit with the original script. I bet that if they never added the Blair Witch name, the movie would've fared better and wouldn't be as widely panned.

Because sponges never have bad days.

I give Part II a solid 9. It was excellent.
The only things that keep it from being a 10 are a few little TOO obscure (unexplained) references in it.

It is worth way more. I love this movie. I watch it at least once a year and I always get creeped out by it.

gave it a 1, it's childish and not at all suspenseful, it doesn't have any of the raw energy and suspense of the original, and barely any time spent in the woods.

This runs like a tv cartoon for kids, it's pure junk

Just watched it for the first time & I loved it! It deserves a much better rating than that. I liked it better than the first one; no hyperventilating Heather Donahue
