Say Something Nice About This Abortion of a Film

The redhead looked good naked.

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.

Yes she did. Jenn aka Katee Sackhoff wasn't bad either, neither was Tyra or Bianca, really. But other than that, the mask was on point, Loree was a good Michael compared to Durand, the music was perfect and actually Halloween like and the house looked decent as a replica of the original.

You really liked the score? I will admit it was an improvement over the Scream score being pasted into H20 and the electric guitar theme in the theatrical cut of H6, but it felt kinda cheap and chintzy to me. The composer (Danny Lux) did mostly TV sitcom stuff and it really shows.

I also wasn't big on Loree as Michael. Homeboy looked like he was holding in a poop for most of the film. Check the scene after he gives Harold the knife and walks away during his voiceover to see what I mean (warning: once you see it, it can't be unseen).

The house and Katee both looked good though, I can agree with that.

Lux did his best to incorporate the Carpenter/Howarth themes, which is what caught my ear the most. Otherwise you're right, outside of the lighting of the candles in the house score piece, the rest is hard to place. 2nd least favorite score behind H20 and Ottman.

Compared to Castle, Wilbur, Shanks, or even Warlock, Loree didn't come close, *but* I am going by the previous film and Durand. The things that killed me with Durand was how it looked like he steamrolled around the corner after Marion sees him and the other kid falls on her and that mask...oh geez. Or should I say masks, which aren't his fault, but still. Even his wide eyed semi head tilt with Laurie in the through the window scene was just horrible. At least Loree had a better feel and look to him to me than that. Again, he was a trained stuntman, stiff and not used to being behind the camera that much. So he was bound to be a little non-actor trained odd looking.

I liked the death scene. If they wanted to end things with this scene in the end of a decent Halloween movie I would have been satisfied with how it ended. Instead they wasted it on this garbage.

I wonder if JLC said yes to this at the time just because she wanted her character to be killed and to be done with the franchise. But as we all know later changed her mind then.

I respect it is the last installment of the franchise that Doesnt include a remake . I wonder if it'll be the last

I really enjoyed the credits.

It makes for a somewhat interesting period piece in terms of technology: iBooks, PalmPilots, Internet chat rooms, etc. It's kinda fun to look back on such things and remember.

Ryan Merriman was nice to look at.

Luke Kirby was hot.

It's not one of those awful Rob Zombie remake films.

When there's no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.
